Telephone-Based Counselling Agreement - Terms and Conditions

This service can help you. Men and woman of all ages, from all walks of life, in all situations can gain from talking to an approachable, non-judgemental professional. The terms reflect the professionalism.



By using the Telephone Counselling Service you agree to the following terms and conditions. You confirm this verbally with your counsellor and through making payment.



You confirm that you are over 18.

You agree to provide contact information for your GP. This is for your protection and will only be used in the event of serious concerns for your well-being.

You agree to disclose information about past and present mental health conditions.

You agree to provide accurate information and to inform the counsellor should this information change.

You agree and accept that the counsellor reserves the right to terminate an abusive call and to refuse future sessions, with no refund.

You agree and accept that if you are late calling for your session, the end time will remain the same.

You understand and accept that telephone-based counselling is not a substitute for face to face counselling.

You understand and accept that telephone-based counselling is not a substitute for medical treatment.

You agree and accept that your counsellor cannot be held responsible for breaches of confidentiality that may occur through your use of the telephone. (For instance: itemised billing, last number redial).

You agree and accept that your pre-booked and pre-paid telephone counselling session is reserved exclusively for you and there is no refund should you fail to keep this session.

You accept that should your counsellor have to cancel your session unexpectedly, every effort will be made to offer you an alternative time. Should this not be possible, your payment will be refunded.

All telephone counselling sessions are pre-paid and pre-booked. You accept and understand that payment must be made prior to your session.


Confidentiality

As with face to face counselling all information you share is confidential. The exceptions to this are as follows:

If at any time your counsellor deems in his or her best judgement that you are at risk of harming yourself or others. In this case, your counsellor reserves the right to contact an outside agency, usually your GP.

If at time your counsellor is required by UK law to disclose information.

Wherever possible, a break in confidentiality will be talked through with you.

Your informed consent and payment

Your payment confirms your acceptance and agreement of the above. Please use the PayPal payment facility to pay for each pre-booked session. You may call 01455 821753 or email counselling@primarycounselling.co.uk to pre-book.
